Valencia, Spain – Valencia signed French international Aly Cissokho from Lyon on a four-year deal on Thursday, pending a physical.
Cissokho, 24, was with Lyon from 2009-12 and made his breakthrough with France in 2010. A defender, Cissokho has also played at FC Porto, among others.
"Aly is a player with vast international experience that belies his youth. He has played for the French national team and has participated in high-level games in competitions such as the Champions League," said Valencia sporting director Braulio Vazquez.
"Cissokho is physically powerful, very strong defensively and someone who will increase the competitiveness of the team - especially on the left side."
