CHICAGO -- One of the biggest Ohio State quarterbacks-related questions of the summer was answered Thursday as a large group of reporters crowded around Urban Meyer during the first day of Big Ten Football Media Days.

No, Meyer does not have a problem with Cardale Jones using Twitter to try to get a date with UFC champion Ronda Rousey.

The head coach of the Buckeyes even brought it up himself for the most part.

"I've got my own theory on this Twitter stuff," Meyer replied to a general question about his players use of the social media network.

"I've had debates about getting rid of it, but I tell people the story of Cardale. I just got hammered -- people were texting me that Cardale met a very beautiful young lady out at the ESPYs, the fighter (Rousey). I met her, too. She's stunning. And then someone said he was tweeting nice things about her, and I said, 'Well you want me to rip him for that?' It's all good with me. I'd probably do the same at that age."

"I think everybody overreacts. If it's disrespectful we nail it immediately. If they're a 19-year-old man being a 19-year-old man.... I've got enough things to worry about. That's not one of them."

So there you go. Jones can presumably keep tweeting stuff like this:

And this:

And this:

Without worrying about catching grief from his coach.
