United's Anderson out until February

Manchester United midfielder Anderson will be out until February because of a knee injury, it was confirmed on Friday.

The 23-year-old missed a significant amount of time last season due to a knee problem, and he suffered another injury in a Champions League win over Otelul Galati in early November which wasn't originally thought to be serious.

However, the Brazilian has seen a specialist in Portugal and has now been ruled out until February, with fellow midfielder Tom Cleverley out until January.

Anderson has started eight games in league play this season for United, scoring two goals.
