Chester, PA – The Philadelphia Union announced on Friday that the club has signed goalkeeper Chris Konopka.
The 26-year-old was most recently a member of the MLS Goalkeeper Pool and featured in one match last season for Red Bull New York, a 2-2 draw with the Chicago Fire.
Konopka was originally drafted by Kansas City in the 2007 Supplemental Draft and spent three seasons in Ireland playing for Bohemian FC, Sporting Fingal and Waterford United before returning to MLS.
