NORWICH, Conn. (AP) — Mike Olt homered twice and drove in eight runs as Connecticut defeated Central Connecticut State 25-5 Saturday in an elimination game in the NCAA Norwich Regional.

Connecticut (48-15), which lost to Oregon 5-3 Friday, kept its tournament hopes alive with a season-high 26 hits. The Huskies will play the loser of Saturday night's game between Oregon and Florida State.

His previous career high for RBI in a single game had been five. His career total of 177 RBI moves him ahead of Brian Packin, who had 170 from 1997-2000.
