The Tennessee Titans traded guard Andy Levitre to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a a 2016 six-round pick and a condition pick in a future year, the team announced Friday.

Two years after signing a six-year, $46.8 million contract with the Tennessee Titans, Andy Levitre lost his his starting job at left guard to Byron Bell in training camp.

Levitre, who started all 32 games over the past two seasons in Tennessee, was held out of Thursday night's preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The trade comes a day after head coach Ken Whisenhunt told reporters the seven-year veteran wasn't necessarily on the way out despite losing his starting spot.

"There's a place for Andy on this team," Whisenhunt said Thursday night, per the Tennessean.

The 29-year-old Levtire, who spent four seasons with the Buffalo Bills before signing with the Titans, took to Twitter Friday morning to indicate he was on his way to Atlanta.
