Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tennessee Titans placed offensive lineman Rob Turner on injured reserve Wednesday due to a shoulder problem.

Turner had started Tennessee's first six games of the season at center, but had since been displaced by rookie Brian Schwenke. The six-year veteran had signed with the Titans during the off-season following a 16-start stint with the St. Louis Rams in 2012.

Offensive lineman Pat McQuistan was signed to take Turner's place on the active roster.

McQuistan has played in 72 games and made 11 starts over seven NFL seasons. The 30-year-old spent the 2012 campaign with Arizona, appearing in six games with three starts.
