DETROIT (Reuters) - The Detroit Tigers have signed third baseman Brandon Inge to a two-year contract with an option for 2013, the team said on Thursday.
Financial terms were not released, the Tigers said on their website (http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com).
Inge, 33, was eligible for free agency after completing a four-year $24 million contract he signed in 2006.
Known for his defensive play at third base, he batted .247 with 70 runs batted in for the 2010 season.
