Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Trailing 2-1 to the Boston Red Sox in the ALCS, Detroit manager Jim Leyland has made a number of changes to his batting order.

Miguel Cabrera, who led the American League with a .348 batting average during the regular season while hitting 44 home runs with 137 RBI, jumps from the third spot to No. 2 in the order. Torii Hunter will bat in the leadoff spot.

Austin Jackson, who has led off for the Tigers for most of the season, has been dropped to the eight-hole amidst a 3-for-33 postseason slump. Jackson has scored just one run with one extra base hit in eight playoff games.

Detroit will send Doug Fister to the mound to try and even this best-of-seven series.
