DETROIT (AP) The Detroit Tigers have promoted David Chadd to assistant general manager.

In other moves announced Friday, general manager Al Avila promoted Scott Bream to vice president of player personnel, Sam Menzin to director of baseball operations and John Westhoff to general counsel.

All four men have worked in the team's front office for at least four years.

Avila became general manager after the team relieved Dave Dombrowski on Tuesday.

Owner Mike Ilitch let Dombrowski go days after he completed trade-deadline deals that sent All-Star pitcher David Price, reliever Joakim Soria and outfielder Yoenis Cespedes to other teams for prospects.
