Bristol Motor Speedway cleared its grandstands at 4:46 p.m. ET Saturday because of threatening weather in the area.
But the good news is that fans were permitted to return by 5:20 p.m. ET and the forecast for the remainder of the night looks good.
Green flag for Saturday night's Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race is scheduled for 8:19 p.m. ET.
According to Weather.com, there was zero percent chance of precipitation from 5:15 to 8 p.m., at which time it went up to only 5 percent. The highest it was going to be through midnight was 20 percent at 9 p.m.
NASCAR officials also announced that there would be a competition caution at Lap 60 during the race.
