Carlos Tevez's 16th goal of the season helped Manchester City beat second-tier Leicester 4-2 in a FA Cup third-round replay on Tuesday.

The Argentina striker opened the scoring for City in the 15th minute with a stunning individual effort. He later missed a second-half penalty, but the hosts had too much for Leicester as they set up a match at Notts County in the fourth round.

Patrick Vieira and Adam Johnson scored in the space of 77 seconds to put Roberto Mancini's side 3-1 up at the break and Aleksandar Kolarov's late finish saw off the visitors, coached by former City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson.

Premier League struggler Wolverhampton thrashed Doncaster 5-0 to progress and will next play Stoke, which beat Cardiff 2-0 thanks to two extra-time goals by striker Jon Walters.

American goaltender Marcus Hahnemann got the shutout for Wolves.

Arsenal travels to Leeds, which plays in the second-tier League Championship, on Wednesday in the other third-round replay.

Eriksson was making his return to Eastlands for the first time since he was fired by City at the end of the 2007-08 season, after just one year at the club.

Since then, things have changed a lot at a club which is second in the Premier League and trailing neighbor Manchester United only on goal difference. A group of wealthy Abu Dhabi investors has taken over the club and its four scorers against Leicester were all signed after the former England coach left.

The first match between the teams ended 2-2 at Leicester on Jan. 9.

SEVILLE, Spain (AP) — Sevilla reached the Copa del Rey semifinals for the fourth time in five seasons after beating Villarreal 3-0 on Tuesday and 6-3 on aggregate.

American striker Jozy Altidore started for Villareal, in attack with New Jersey native Giuseppe Rossi, who plays for Italy.

Altidore sent a shot far over the net in the 15th minute, in the Yellow Submarine's first real chance on goal. He was substituted in the 62nd minute.

By that point, Villareal was already down 1-0 following Renato's opener in the 10th.

Villarreal created opportunities but the holders put the outcome beyond doubt with goals from Frederic Kanoute and Alexis Ruano in the first five minutes of the second half.

Sevilla plays either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid next, with Madrid leading 3-1 after the first leg going into Thursday's match at the Vicente Calderon stadium.

Sevilla defender Sergio Sanchez returned to action for the first time since undergoing heart surgery to correct a condition that sidelined the 24-year-old defender a year ago.

Sevilla is 10th in the league, while Villarreal is behind only Barcelona and Madrid in the standings. However, the Andalucians remain unbeaten in cup competition.

Sanchez played well on his return to the game. The Spanish player hadn't featured since being diagnosed with a heart condition in early January 2010.

Another Sevilla player, Antonio Puerta, collapsed during a 2007 league game and died three days later following a prolonged cardiac arrest at age 22. Espanyol captain Daniel Jarque died of heart failure in 2009 in his team's hotel in Italy. He was 26.

Spanish league leader Barcelona is 5-0 up before Wednesday's second leg at second division leader Real Betis, while Almeria has a 1-0 advantage over Deportivo La Coruna.

French midfielder Hassan Yebda put Napoli ahead with a header in the ninth minute at the San Paolo stadium and Argentine striker Ezequiel Lavezzi doubled the lead in the 23rd following a pass from Marek Hamsik.

Riccardo Meggiorini converted a penalty for Bologna in the 56th.

The match was suspended briefly shortly after halftime because the lights went out.

The quarterfinal pairings will be completed Wednesday and Thursday with AS Roma facing Lazio in a derby, Sampdoria hosting Udinese and Serie A leader AC Milan facing Bari.

Napoli is second in Serie A, four points behind Milan.

PARIS (AP) — Olivier Giroud headed the winner deep into extra time as Montpellier beat 10-man Paris Saint-Germain to reach the League Cup final for the first time on Tuesday.

The striker shook a defender before meeting Geoffrey Dernis' cross from the right and nodding the ball past goalkeeper Gregory Coupet and into the bottom corner in the 118th minute of a pulsating game.

PSG played extra time with 10 men after midfielder Clement Chantome's sending off in second-half injury time, but had several chances to score — only for strikers Guillaume Hoarau and Jean-Eudes Maurice to miss chances.

Montpellier is on course for its first domestic trophy since winning the French Cup in 1990, and plays the winner of Wednesday's other semifinal between Auxerre and Marseille.
