Tello agrees to Barca extension

Barcelona, Spain – Barcelona winger Cristian Tello has signed a contract extension that ties him to the club until 2018, with the new deal containing a buy-out clause of $33 million that could reach $45 million based on appearances.

Tello and Barca have been in talks over an extension for the past couple months, and the two sides have finally agreed on a deal that secures the future of the Spain Under-21 international.

The 21-year-old netted seven goals with four assists in 22 La Liga appearances last season.
