TCU improved to 4-0 in red-flowered bowl ranked Bulldogs a run for their money in Wednesday's Poinsettia Bowl.

The heavily-favored Horned Frogs, last year's Rose Bowl champion and winner of the 2006 and '08 Poinsettia Bowls, trailed in the fourth quarter before pulling out a 31-24 win to end their final season before moving to the Big 12.

Casey Pachall threw the game-winning 42-yard touchdown pass to Skye Dawson with 4:26 remaining, easily the sophomore's biggest throw in an otherwise modest 206-yard performance.

Ed Wesley added 77 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries for TCU (11-2), which was denied a second straight trip to a BCS game but nonetheless ended on a high note.

Colby Cameron led the Western Athletic Conference-champion Bulldogs (8-4) with 264 yards and two touchdowns through the air.
