DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) Thomas Sykes intercepted Dalton Oliver in overtime, preserving a 14-7 win for Davidson over Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday.

Davidson (1-4) got the ball first in overtime, and Taylor Mitchell found William Morris for a 9-yard score to give the Wildcats their second lead of the game. Needing a touchdown, Kentucky Wesleyan went for it on fourth-and-2 from the 17, and Sykes intercepted Oliver's attempt, ensuring Davidson's first win of the season.

Mitchell was 18 of 37 for 118 yards, Jeffrey Keil had a 1-yard touchdown run and Morris had 31 yards on four receptions.

The Wildcats led 7-0 until Oliver capped off a 70-yard drive in the third quarter, hitting Marcel Malone for a 25-yard score. Oliver had 130 yards for Kentucky Wesleyan (1-4), completing 19 of 34 passes. David White had 58 yards on 19 carries.
