Here is what to know about the Super Bowl oddsboard:
The Favorite(s): The top spot is firmly in the grasp of the Seahawks (14-3), who dominated the 49ers in San Francisco to close out their regular season. With the win, they clinched the NFC West title, the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs and saw their odds move from +475 to +340. The Rams (12-5) still sit second on the board at +425, and will host the Panthers in their first playoff game.
Ones to Watch: After clinching the AFC 1-seed and a first round bye with a win against the Chargers in Week 18, the Broncos (14-3) moved from +700 to +650, staying in the third spot. The Bills (12-5) didn't move much after a 35-8 victory against the Jets, going from +1100 to +1000. They'll take on the Jaguars in Jacksonville in the Wild Card.
The Defending Champs: Consider the up and down nature of the Eagles' season so far. They started off 4-0, then lost two in a row, then won four in a row, then lost three in a row, won three in a row, and closed out the season with a loss against the Commanders— with most of their starters not suiting up in the season finale. Philly's latest win came in Week 17, on the road against Buffalo. In that game, the Eagles held the Bills to just six points in a 13-6 victory. The Eagles claimed the NFC East and are the No. 3 seed, hosting the 49ers on Sunday in the Wild Card. When it comes to winning the Big Game in consecutive years, other than the Chiefs going back-to-back in 2022 and 2023, winning two in a row is a feat seldom accomplished in the Super Bowl era. New England won the Super Bowl in 2003 and 2004. Before that, the Broncos won in 1997 and 1998, and the Cowboys won in 1993 and 1994. The Niners went back-to-back in 1988 and 1989; the Steelers won in 1974 and 1975, and then again in 1978 and 1979. The Dolphins won in 1972 and 1973, and the Packers won in 1966 and 1967.
