Allison Hightower's layup with 8.9 seconds remaining lifted the Connecticut Sun to a thrilling 80-78 overtime win over the Chicago Sky in both team's final game before the Olympic break.

Sylvia Fowles hit a pair of free throws with 19.1 seconds left in OT for a 78-77 Sky lead, but Renee Montgomery found Hightower cutting to the basket for the go-ahead bucket. After a turnover, Kara Lawson knocked down a free throw for a two-point lead, and Courtney Vandersloot missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.

Tina Charles poured in a game-high 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Connecticut. Mistie Mims had a double-double with 19 points and 10 boards while Montgomery donated 15 points off the bench.

Vandersloot had a career-high 22 points to go with eight assists and Fowles had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Chicago, which fell to 8-9 on the year.

The Sun overcame a 13-point fourth quarter deficit lock up their 15th win of the season.
