After a turnover, Kara Lawson knocked down a free throw for a two-point lead, and Courtney Vandersloot missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.

Tina Charles poured in a game-high 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Connecticut. Mistie Mims had a double-double with 19 points and 10 boards while Montgomery donated 15 points off the bench.

Vandersloot had a career-high 22 points to go with eight assists and Fowles had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Chicago, which fell to 8-9 on the year.

The Sun overcame a 13-point fourth quarter deficit lock up their 15th win of the season.
