FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots offensive line couldn't protect Tom Brady.
The defensive line couldn't stop Knowshon Moreno.
And the bottom line is the Patriots' streak of winning season openers is over at 10 games.
Safety Devin McCourty says it feels strange after every game the Patriots lose because they haven't lost many in his four years with them. They were 54-17 in those seasons before Sunday's 33-20 loss at the Miami Dolphins.
But McCourty says there's no panic as the team prepares for next Sunday's game at the Minnesota Vikings. The Patriots must try to stop Adrian Peterson after allowing Moreno to run for 134 yards for Miami.
New England led 20-10 at halftime Sunday then was outscored 23-0 and outgained 222-67 the rest of the way.
