PITTSBURGH (AP) Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier is growing up quickly.

The second-year player had a career-high 15 tackles in Sunday's 43-18 win over San Francisco.

Tasked with tracking fleet 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Shazier finished with a sack, three tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a surprisingly easy win.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says it is what he expected all along from the former first-round pick, who missed seven games during his rookie season in 2014 with various injuries.

Pittsburgh All-Pro running back Le'Veon Bell will return to practice this week after missing two games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He is eligible to play on Sunday at St. Louis.
