Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Dallas Stars placed star forward Tyler Seguin on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, the team announced Saturday.

Seguin, who is among the NHL leaders in goals and points, was hurt in Friday's 2-0 home win over Florida.

With just under seven minutes remaining in the third period, Seguin was upended on a hit by Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov after firing a pass just inside the Florida zone. Seguin's right leg absorbed the blow on the low hit for which Kulikov was assessed a major penalty for clipping and a game misconduct.

The 23-year-old Seguin is tied for fourth in the league with 29 goals and ranks third with 59 points.

The Stars also placed forward Patrick Eaves on injured reserve. Eaves suffered a concussion when he was hit by a shot from teammate John Klingberg during the power play after the Kulikov penalty.

Forwards Brett Ritchie and Travis Morin were recalled from Texas of the American Hockey League to fill the roster spots.
