PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Giancarlo Stanton hit a long home run for the second straight day, a two-run drive off Jack Leathersich in the seventh inning that hit the top of a practice field behind the left-field wall Monday during the Miami Marlins' 11-1 rout of the New York Mets.
Reed Johnson went 5 for 5 for the Marlins, and Ed Lucas was 2 for 4 with a two-run triple.
Bartolo Colon made his exhibition debut for the Mets and allowed three runs and five hits in four innings with one walk and one strikeout. Signed to a $20 million, two-year contract during the offseason, Colon gave up Lucas' triple followed by Jake Marisnick's RBI groundout.
Marlins starter Brad Hand struck out five in three scoreless innings, giving up three hits.
