St. Mirren scored twice in the final 15 minutes to conclude its Scottish Premier League season with a 3-1 defeat of Kilmarnock.

John McGinn and Kris Boyd traded goals inside the opening 25 minutes as the two sides headed into the final stages level at a goal apiece, but it was Paul McGowan's penalty in the 75th that proved to be the difference. Conor Newton wrapped up the affair by tacking on a goal two minutes from time.

St. Mirren finishes the season on 41 points, four points fewer than Kilmarnock.

Also on Saturday, Hibernian downed Dundee 1-0 at Easter Road and Aberdeen only managed a 1-1 home draw with Hearts.
