Saint Etienne, France – French Ligue 1 side St. Etienne will sign forward Max Gradel from Leeds and midfielder Banel Nicolita from Steaua Bucharest, pending medicals Wednesday. St. Etienne announced the deals Tuesday on its website.
Gradel had 18 goals last season for Leeds United, which plays in the second division in England. Nicolita, 26, is a Romanian international who scored 23 goals in 188 league matches for Bucharest in Romania's top flight.
