St Etienne has made Francois Clerc its second signing of the summer, with the former Nice defender joining on a three-year contract with his new club.

Clerc won Ligue 1 titles in 2006, 2007 and 2008 with Lyon before spending the past two campaigns with Nice, where he made 71 appearances and scored six goals.

The 29-year-old has earned 13 caps for France and he joins Valenciennes midfielder Renaud Cohade as new recruits to the team this summer.
