San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Antonio Spurs have waived forward Josh Howard, one day after signing the former All-Star.
Howard was originally a first-round draft pick in 2003 by Dallas, where he spent the first seven seasons of his career. He earned his only trip to the All-Star game during the 2006-07.
Following his lengthy stint with the Mavericks, the 33-year-old has bounced around the league, playing for Washington, Utah and Minnesota.
In 507 career NBA games, Howard has averaged 14.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
