Rain washed out Friday's lone round of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice for Sunday's Axalta We Paint Winners 400 (FS1, 12:30 p.m.) at Pocono Raceway.

Just 28 cars made it onto the track, which had only eight minutes of practice. Because the full field didn't have the opportunity to practice, the times set in the session won't be used to set the field for the races if qualifying is rained out.

Qualifying is schedule for 4:15 p.m. on FS1, with the possibility of rain still a concern.

If qualifying is rained out, the field would be set per the NASCAR rule book, which would put Stewart-Haas Racing teammates Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch on the front row for Sunday's race.

In the abbreviated practice session, the fastest car on track was the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota of Carl Edwards, who lapped the 2.5-mile Pocono triangle at 179.80 miles per hour. Harvick and Kurt Busch were next, followed by Paul Menard in a Richard Childress Racing Chevy.

Defending Sprint Cup champion Kyle Busch clocked in fifth in a second JGR Toyota, followed by six-time series champ Jimmie Johnson.
