BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) Taryn Christion threw two touchdowns and ran for another to lead South Dakota State to a 25-20 win over Illinois State on Saturday.

Christion finished with 307 yards passing for the Jackrabbits (7-2, 4-2 Missouri Valley Conference). He also led in rushing with 65 yards.

Christion ran for a 10-yard score late in the second quarter for a 7-7 tie. He was injured with 18 seconds left in the half and was replaced by former starter, Zach Lujan, who immediately completed a 14-yard TD pass to Jake Wieneke to put the Jackrabbits up 13-7 at the break.

Christion was back after halftime and threw a 14-yard score to Brandon Andrews to make it 19-7. His 74-yard touchdown pass to Wieneke early in the fourth quarter kept the Jackrabbits in front and they held on for the win.

Tre Roberson threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns for the Redbirds (7-2, 5-1).
