Kendall Houston rushed for two touchdowns to stretch a South Alabama lead and secure a 38-21 victory against Kent State Saturday.

Houston ran for a 3-yard touchdown in the third and a 14-yard touchdown in the fourth to set up a 38-14 advantage for South Alabama (3-3, 1-1 Sun Belt). Quarterback Ross Metheny and Jay Jones scored the Jaguars' two remaining rushing touchdowns.

David Fisher threw two touchdown passes in the fourth for the Golden Flashes (2-6, 1-3 MAC). His final touchdown pass occurred with just a minute left to play.

Dri Archer picked up the only other touchdown for Kent State with a 74-yard run in the second quarter. Archer also pulled in a 73-yard reception from Fisher in the fourth, and ended the game with 114 yards rushing and 85 yards receiving.
