Smith sharp against as Coyotes down Blackhawks
Chicago, IL – Mike Smith stopped 24 shots and came within 43 1 win over Chicago.
Smith, who blanked Dallas on Saturday, held the Blackhawks off the board until Patrick Sharp scored in the waning moments of regulation.
Ray Whitney had a goal and two assists, while Daymond Langkow, Shane Doan and Radim Vrbata also scored for the Coyotes, winners of two in a row.
Corey Crawford stopped 17-of-21 shots and Ray Emery made three saves in relief for the Blackhawks, who appeared sluggish in their first game back from a 3-3-0 road trip.
