Sevilla boosted its hopes of European qualification on Monday by securing a 3-1 win over Mallorca at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

The hosts had the better of the chances but had to wait until the 51st minute to find the back of the net as Alvaro Negredo headed home a corner kick from Jose Antonio Reyes.

Jesus Navas set up the second goal by feeding a pass to Manu, who beat goalkeeper Dudu Aouate with a low shot to double Sevilla's advantage.

Navas then stretched the lead to 3-0 as Manu turned provider to help the Spain international seal the win from close range.

Tomer Hemed pulled a goal back for Mallorca in the 74th minute, but it wasn't enough to prevent Sevilla from collecting a third straight victory and moving its way back into European contention.
