The Florida State Seminoles will continue their spring workouts without their leading rusher from last season.

Running back Dalvin Cook is recovering from right shoulder surgery that is expected to sideline him for several months, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

"It was questionable whether to do it or not, so we went ahead and did it," head coach Jimbo Fisher said. "It's a good thing they did, but nothing drastic. He'll be immobilized for about two months."

Cook rushed for 1,691 yards and 19 touchdowns in 12 games during his sophomore season in 2015. He added 244 receiving yards and a TD.
