Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Texas Rangers have moved right-handed pitcher Yu Darvish to the 60-day disabled list, effectively ending his 2014 season.
Darvish was put on the 15-day DL on Aug. 13 with right elbow inflammation. He finished the season with a 10-7 record and 3.06 ERA in 22 games.
The Rangers also purchased the contract of infielder Guilder Rodriguez from Double-A Frisco. Rodriguez, who has yet to play in the majors, has totaled 1,095 contests in the minors spanning 13 seasons.
