Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll offered no updates on the status of star running back Marshawn Lynch's ailing hamstring.

Carroll said the Seahawks will need all week to determine the availability of Lynch for Monday night's matchup against the visiting Detroit Lions. Lynch underwent an MRI exam on Monday but the team has yet to disclose the results.

Lynch has missed only one game since Seattle acquired him from the Buffalo Bills in 2010. He was bothered by a calf issue last week and had just five carries in Sunday's 26-0 victory over the Chicago Bears, leaving in the final minute of the first half.

Rookie Thomas Rawls filled in capably for Lynch, rushing for 104 yards on 16 carries. He will likely see time in the backfield along with Fred Jackson if Lynch is unable to go Monday night.
