Renton, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Seahawks claimed quarterback B.J. Daniels off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday.

Daniels, a seventh-round draft pick out of South Florida, was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday, though coach Jim Harbaugh said the team was "hopeful" it could keep him around despite signing John Skelton.

The Seahawks waived rookie linebacker John Lotulelei to make room for Daniels, 23, who joins quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Tarvaris Jackson on the Seattle roster.
