BLOEMFONTEIN (Reuters) - Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and defender Jerome Boateng were last-minute inclusions in the squad for their World Cup round of 16 clash with England on Sunday after recovering from injuries.
Schweinsteiger, Germany's heart and brains in midfield, picked up a thigh muscle injury late in their 1-0 Group D win over Ghana four days ago and has missed all of his team's training sessions since then.
Germany coach Joachim Loew also included left back Boateng who has recovered from a calf muscle injury, while striker Miroslav Klose returned from his one-match suspension, replacing the injured Cacau.
England were unchanged from their last group match against Slovenia, with Matthew Upson partnering John Terry in the defense.
This is the first time England coach Fabio Capello has fielded an unchanged team since taking over in January 2008.
