Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp has been arrested on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute and assault.

Phoenix police arrested the 42-year-old Sapp at 7 a.m. MT on Monday at a downtown hotel.

A woman told police that she and another woman were working as escorts and an argument about money in a guest's room turned physical. Sapp told investigators that he had paid one of the women for sex but denied any assault, according to police.

Sapp was in Arizona for Sunday's Super Bowl, working for the NFL Network, which has terminated his contract.
