SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara forward Yannick Atanga will miss the rest of his senior season after tearing a knee ligament in the Broncos' first game.
Coach Kerry Keating said Friday that Atanga will have an operation on Dec. 16 to repair the torn ACL suffered last month against Cal State Fullerton.
Atanga has played in 103 career games with 41 starts. He has 94 career blocks and 570 rebounds.
Atanga is a fifth-year senior but plans to apply to the NCAA for another year of eligibility with medical hardship waiver.
