Blackburn, England – Christopher Samba completed his transfer from Blackburn to Russia side Anzhi on Friday for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old Samba signed a contract extension last year through June 2015, and Blackburn issued a January statement that its captain was "not for sale."
Samba joined Blackburn from Hertha Berlin in 2007, and played over 150 matches for the club.
