Joe Gibbs Racing has announced that Sam Hornish Jr. will drive the No. 18 Toyota Camry for the team on Sunday in the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Iowa Speedway (FS1, 1 p.m. ET).
Hornish Jr. will replace Matt Tifft, who under recommendation from his doctor, will sit out the race for treatment of a disc condition in his back.
This will be Hornish Jr.'s first NASCAR race of the 2016 season.
