BUFFALO, N.Y. – Ryan Miller did not practice Saturday morning and the Buffalo Sabres gave no reason for their starting goalie's absence.
The Sabres have called up goalie Matt Hackett from AHL Rochester.
Also, defenseman Alexander Sulzer has been recalled by the Sabres after Henrik Tallinder sustained an upper body injury Friday night against Ottawa.
Sulzer cleared waivers Monday after failing to make the team out of training camp and was sent to Rochester. The 6-foot-1 defenseman has 12 points in 32 games with the Sabres since being acquired at the 2012 NHL trade deadline.
The Sabres did not have an update on Tallinder's condition.
