Ryan Fitzpatrick is a Harvard grad and a starting quarterback in the NFL, so he's already both smarter and more athletic than most people. But if there's one chink in his terrifically-bearded armor, it's his arm strength -- and he knows it.

In their loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, the New York Jets would have had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds if not for Brandon Marshall being flagged on the last play. It would have allowed Fitzpatrick to throw it as far as he possibly could in a last-ditch Hail Mary effort, but it doesn't sound like he's too confident in his arm strength.

"I think I max out at 30 yards with my arm strength," he said, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.

Of course, Fitzpatrick is joking about only being able to throw it 30 yards, but it's clear he's not going to be raving about his arm any time soon. It would be in the Jets' best interest to not fall behind and force Fitzpatrick to throw a Hail Mary pass in the future.

If they do need to heave it downfield, Geno Smith might be more suited for the job.
