The rough start to Rutgers' season continued Saturday with the school's announcement star defensive tackle Darius Hamilton is out for the rest of the season because of what is being termed a lower body injury.

Hamilton earned All-Big Ten recognition last season and was named the Scarlet Knights' defensive MVP after notching 11.5 tackles for loss.

His only appearance this season came last week in Rutgers' loss at Penn State.

A fourth-year senior, Hamilton is eligible for a medical redshirt.
