The Kansas City Royals recalled right- handed relief pitcher Louis Coleman from Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.

Coleman, 26, appeared in 48 games for the Royals last season, going 1-4 with one save and a 2.87 earned-run average. He pitched in three games for the Triple-A squad this season, recording a save and a 1.69 ERA.

To make room on the roster, Kansas City optioned outfielder Jarrod Dyson, who was brought up on Friday to replace the injured Lorenzo Cain.

Dyson started the last two games in center field for the Royals and went 2- for-8 with two runs scored.
