Roux fires Lille past Nantes

Nantes, France ( - Nolan Roux scored the only goal of the match on Friday to lift Lille to a 1-0 result over Nantes at the Stade de la Beaujoire, propelling the club up to second place in Ligue 1.

Midfielder Ronny Rodelin set the scoring play in motion when he lofted a cross into the penalty area and Roux was able to get his head on it and direct it past Nantes goalkeeper Remy Riou.

It became even more of an uphill climb for the home side seven minutes from time when Papy Djilobodji was shown a straight red card, reducing the home side to 10 men.
