Rookie running back Jay Ajayi activated Miami Dolphins

MIAMI (AP) Rookie running back Jay Ajayi has been activated by the Miami Dolphins and could make his NFL debut Sunday at Buffalo.

He had been on the reserve injured-designated for return list. To make room on the roster, the team waived center Sam Brenner on Saturday.

Ajayi missed the Dolphins' first seven games because of a chest injury. He's a fifth-round draft choice from Boise State. Last year he became the first player in FBS history to gain at least 1,800 yards rushing and 500 receiving in a season.
