Rookie Carlos Munoz has drivers on edge as he starts in middle of front row for Indy 500

INDIANAPOLIS – Carlos Munoz hopes to follow in the footsteps of his idol, fellow Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya, by winning from the front row as a rookie in Sunday's Indianapolis 500.

With the backing of powerhouse team Andretti Autosport, Munoz qualified second for the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing," just like Montoya did when he won the race in 2000.

The go-for-broke attitude that landed Munoz on the front row also has some of his fellow drivers nervous. Pippa Mann says she'd like to see Munoz "settle down a little bit," and Graham Rahal said Munoz has been getting away with stuff that would usually end up in a wreck.

One thing is certain: Everybody is curious to see how Munoz fares on race day.
