Tony Romo wasn't going to change the outcome of the Dallas Cowboys' disastrous 2010 season with a heroic return from injury in the next two weeks.

But the team's starting quarterback and leader, who injured his collarbone in an October game against the New York Giants, wanted to finish out the failed campaign on the field with his teammates.

Alas, the bad luck for the Cowboys continued, and it looks like the Mexican-American quarterback won't get his wish.

"As I stand here," said owner Jerry Jones, "he's not ready to play."
