Andy Roddick has accepted a wild card into next week's Eastbourne International after an opening-round defeat at Queen's Club.

Struggling to regain form after ankle and hamstring injuries, the four-time Queen's champion fell 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 to Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin on Wednesday. He's looking for more match play as he prepares for Wimbledon.

The former world No. 1 has lost his last six matches, with his last victory coming against Roger Federer in Miami three months ago.

The 32nd-ranked Roddick will take part in the pre-Wimbledon event for the first time since he reached the 2001 semifinals when it was staged in Nottingham. It will be his first appearance at Eastbourne's Devonshire Park.
