Rockies ink C Hernandez to two-year deal

Denver, CO – The Colorado Rockies signed catcher Ramon year contract on Monday.

Hernandez hit .282 with 12 home runs, 13 doubles and 36 RBI in 91 games for the Reds in 2011.

In 1,457 career games with Oakland (1999-2003), San Diego (2004-05), Baltimore (2006-08) and Cincinnati (2009-11), Hernandez has a .266 average with 161 home runs, 723 RBI, 250 doubles and 560 runs scored.
